Success at the Provincial Championships!

The Campbell River Gymnastics Association sent a group of athletes to the Provincial Championships April 1^st– 3^rd.  The competition was a great success with athletes combining for 25 medals and multiple ribbons.  Carson Ogg, Jackson Martin, Jordan Loock and Hannah Herschler all qualified to represent Team BC at the 2022 Canadian Championships held in Richmond at the end of May.  Jordan and Hannah had to show consistency by competing twice over the weekend and combining the scores to make the top 6 in order to secure their spots to Nationals.  Carson and Jackson filmed the Provincials to also use the routines for Technical Trials for Gymnastics Canada.   Other big successes included Anna Harris, Polly Klipa, and Isobel Read all bringing home Silver medals in the All Around in their respective divisions.  Congratulations to all CRGA athletes!!  Below are the full results of our athletes.

Senior Men

Carson Ogg won the Bronze medals on Floor, Vault, Parallel Bars and High Bar coming home with the Bronze medal in the All Around qualifying for the Canadian Championships!

Junior men

Jackson Martin captured the Bronze medal on Pommel Horse, won the 4^th place ribbon on Vault, took 6^th on High Bar, received 7^th on Rings, finished 8^th on Floor and 9^th on Parallel Bars to come home in 7^th place in the All Around qualifying for the Canadian Championships!

Provincial 5 boys

Owen Harbo became Provincial Champion on Rings, won the Silver medal on Floor, captured the Bronze medal on Parallel Bars, placed 4^th on Vault, finished 5^th on Pommel and 6^th on High Bar to come home in 5^th place in the All Around.

CCP 10 SR

Jordan Loock won the 4^th place ribbon on Bars, 5^th on Vault day 1, finished 7^th on Floor and 14^th on Beam to come home in 6^th place in the All Around qualifying for the Canadian Championships!

CCP9 SR

Hannah Herschler became Provincial Champion on Bars (day 2), took the Silver on Vault (day 1) took  the Bronze on Floor and placing 7^th on Beam (day 1) to finish 4^th place in the All Around qualifying for the Canadian Championships!

CCP 8

Ava Herschler won the  6^th place ribbon on Bars, took 10^th on Floor, finished 11^th on Beam and 15^th on Vault to come home in 10^th place in the All Around.

Rayne Loock placed 13^th on Vault, Bars and Floor, finished 18^th on Beam to come home in 17^th place in the All Around.

CCP 7 2009-2010

Rihanna Dill captured the Silver medal on Floor, placed 11^th on Beam, finished 12^th on both Vault and Bars to come home in 7^th place in the All Around.

CCP 6 2009

Anna Harris became Provincial Champion on Vault, won the Silver medal on Bars, placed 11^th on Beam and 13^th on Floor to come home with the Silver medal in the All Around.

Sophie Mayers won the 4^th place ribbon on Floor, captured 7^th place on Bars, finished 13^th on Beam and 18^th on Vault to come home in 12^th place in the All Around.

CCP 6 2009-2010

Sophie Pallan won the 4^th place ribbon on Vault, captured the 7^th place ribbon on Bars, finished 14^th on Floor and 17^th on Beam to come home in 10^th in the All Around.

Hannah Thomas won the 8^th place ribbon on Vault, took 9^th place on Floor, finished 15^th on Bars and 16^th on Beam to come home in 14^th place in the All Around.

Miwako McGuffie-Ogasawara placed 15th on Beam, took 16^th on Vault, finished 17^th on both Bars and Floor to come home in 16^th place in the All Around.

CCP 6 2010

Polly Klipa became Provincial Champion on Bars, won the Silver medal on Vault, finished 10^th on Floor and 14^th on Beam to come home with the Silver medal in the All Around.

Grace Fraser won the Silver medal on Vault, won the 4^th place ribbon on Bars, finished 10^th on Floor and 22^nd on Beam to come home in 10^th place in the All Around.

CCP 6 2010-2011

Isobel Read captured the Silver medal on Bars, won the Bronze medals on both Vault and Beam, finished 4^th on Floor to come home with the Silver medal in the All Around.

Kaylie Lofstrom became Provincial Champion on Bars, won the 5^th place ribbon on Vault, placed 6^th on Floor and 15^th on Beam to come home in 4^th place in the All Around.

CCP 6 2011

Haylee Toohey captured the 6^th place ribbon on Bars, received 10^th place on Beam, finished 12^th on Vault and 15^th on Floor to come home in 9^th place in the All Around.
