Pajama Meet – Campbell River Gymnastics Association

30 Athletes from the CR Gymnastics Association represented out club at the annual Pajama Meet held in Comox. Our athletes had a very strong performance coming home with 4 all around champions, 8 more on the podium for top 3 all around finishes, over 60 combined medals and numerous ribbons.“The athletes are stepping up when they get chances and it is fun to watch them perform!”, Coach Sader proclaimed.
New skills for the athletes include Brooklyn Batch performing her roundoff back layout off beam for the first time. Riley Michael added a back tuck flyaway off the p-bars along with a Sivado on the pommel horse, a back layout half turn off the rings and a back full on the floor.
Nathan Kerluck added a free hip to handstand and a giant to his high bar routine. Here is the full results for our club.

Level 1 boys
In Level 1 boys usually compete against a standard (everyone getting Gold, Silver or Bronze) however at this meet the Level 1’s competed for placements.
Lucas Pesicka won a silver medal on vault, placed 4^th on floor, finished in 5^th spot on pommel, rings, p-bars and high bar to come home in 5^th place in the all around.

Level 3 boys
Nathan Kerluck captured the Gold medals on all six apparatus including coming home as the All Around Champion!! Congrats!
Jack Martin won the silver medals on floor, rings and vault and came home with the Silver medal in the all around!
Liam Barber tied for the Silver medal on the floor, captured the bronze medals on pommel horse, rings and vault to come home with the bronze medal in the all around.

Level 4 boys
Riley Michael captured the Gold medals on all six apparatus becoming the All Around Champion!! Congrats!!

Women’s levels JO= Junior Olympic

JO level 3 born in 2006
Sierra Goddyn won a 7^th place ribbon on the vault, placed 10^th on both bars and beam and finished in 12^th on the floor to come home in 12^th place in the all around.

JO level 3 born in 2007-2008
Thea Gavel won a silver medal on the vault, captured the bronze on floor, placed 6^th on bars and 8^th on the beam to come home in 7^th place in the all around.
Ayla Wheatley captured the bronze medal on the vault, placed 8^th on the bars and floor, and finished in 9^th on beam to come home in 9^th place in the all around.

JO level 4 born in 2003-2004
Kaitlynn Beaulieau won the bronze medal on beam, placed 5^th on the floor, finished in 6^th place on both vault and bars to come home in 5^th place in the all around.
Amanda Henderson captured a bronze medal on vault, placed 8^th on bars, finished 9^th on both beam and floor to come home tied for 8^th all around.
Melody Bedard took 7^th place ribbons on both vault and beam, placed 8^th on the floor, finished 9^th on the bars to come home in a tie for 8^th in the all around.

JO level 4 born in 2005
Michaela Pontious won the 4^th place ribbon on beam, took 5^thon vault, placed 6^th on floor and 9^th on bars to come home in 6^th place in the all around.

JO level 4 born in 2006-2007
Katrina Dion won the 4^th place ribbon on the vault, placed 7^th on both bars and floor and came home in 11^th on beam to come home in 10^th place in the all around.

JO Level 5 all ages
Jadea Wilson captured the gold medal on the bars, won the silver medals on both beam and floor, placed 4^th on the vault to come home as the All Around Champion!!! Congrats!!
Shea Bridgen won the gold medal on the floor, captured the silver medal on vault, placed 4^th on beam and finished 5^th on bars to come home in 3^rd place in the all around.
Alexandra Smith captured the silver medal on bars, placed 5^th on floor, took home 6^th place ribbons on both vault and beam to come home in 4^th place in the all around.
