CR Gymnasts Compete at the JO Compulsory Provincials 2021

The Campbell River Gymnastics Association participated in the virtual JO Compulsory Provincial Championships hosted by Langley Gymnastics on April 18th. The athletes had a great competition, winning many ribbons and medals. It was great to watch the athletes learning new skills and improving though out the year. Competition highlights include Chloe Stewart winning a Silver medal on the floor to go along with a Bronze on the beam and in the All Around. Persia Tabarsi captured the Bronze medal on the beam and Alyse Aydon won a Bronze medal on the vault. Below are the full results!

JO4 2006-2008

Ryley Gordon captured the 8^th place ribbon on bars, won the 10^th place ribbon on vault, finished 11^th on floor and 13^th on beam to come home in 10^th place in the All Around.
Persia Tabarsi captured the Bronze medal on beam, won the 9^th place ribbon on vault, placed 12^th on floor and 13^th on bars to come home in 12^th place in the All Around.

JO4 2009

Hannah Thomas won the 9^th place ribbon on vault, took 13^th on beam, finished 16^th on floor and 18^th on bars to come home in 12^th place in the All Around.
Miwako McGuffie-Ogasawara tied for the 9^th place ribbon on vault, placed 14^th on both beam and floor, finished 19^th on bars to come home in 16^th place in the All Around.

JO4 2010

Chloe Stewart captured the Silver medal on floor, won the Bronze medal on beam, finished 7^th on both vault and bars to come home with the Bronze medal in the All Around.
Grace Fraser won the 4^th place ribbon on bars, captured 6^th place on floor, finished 9^th on both vault and beam to come home in 5^th place in the All Around.
Jaycee LaFrance captured the 5^th place ribbon on floor, won the 6^th place ribbon on vault, finished 11^th on bars and 17^th on beam to come home in 8^th place in the All Around.
Sophie Pallan won the 8^th place ribbons on both vault and floor, finished 12^th on beam and 14^th on bars to come home in 9^th place in the All Around.
Olivia Fawbert captured the 6^th place ribbon on beam, placed 15^th on bars, finished 20^th on both vault and floor to come home in 17^th place in the All Around.

JO4 2011

Haylee Toohey won the 6^th place ribbon on vault, captured the 10^th place ribbon on floor, finished 12^th on bars and 17^th on beam to come home in 11^th place in the All Around.

JO4 2012-13

Lacey Palmer placed 18^th on beam, finished 20^th on vault, bars and beam to come home in 20^th place in the All Around.

JO3 2010

Paityn Giesbrecht won the 8^th place ribbon on bars, took 11^th place on floor, finished 18^th on vault and 20^th on beam to come home in 16^th place in the All Around.
Avery McColl captured the 7^th place ribbon on vault, won the 9^th place ribbon on beam, finished 17^th on bars and 19^th on floor to come home in 18^th place in the All Around.

JO3 2012.5

Ru-Chan McGuffie-Ogasawara won the 4^th place ribbon on vault, placed 12^th on floor, finished 14^th on beam and 15^th on bars to come home in 14^th place in the All Around.

JO2 2012

Ali Maga won the 5^th place ribbon on vault, captured the 6^th place ribbon on bars, finished 11^th on beam and 12^th on floor to come home in 6^th place in the All Around.
Alyse Aydon captured the Bronze medal on vault, won the 8^th place ribbon on bars, finished 18^th on floor and 23^rd on beam to come home in 11^th place in the All Around.
Hannah Sumner won the 10^th place ribbon on vault, took 11^th place on beam, finished 21^st on floor and 23^rd on bars to come home in 20^th place in the All Around.
Nahla Birchard placed 17^th on bars, took 21^st place on beam, finished 22^nd on floor and vault to come home in 21^st place in the All Around.

JO2 2013

Callie Bukta won the 7^th place ribbon on vault, placed 11^th on beam, finished 15^th on floor and 18^th on bars to come home in 17^th place in the All Around.

JO2 2014

Linnea Jones captured the 5^th place ribbon on floor, won the 6^th place ribbon on bars, finished 7th on vault and 10^th on beam to come home in 8^th place in the All Around.
Drew Thomson won the 5^th place ribbon on vault, captured the 7^th place ribbon on bars, finished 11^th on beam and 12^th on floor to come home in 11^th place in the All Around.

Strong Showing at the Carol Lenz Memorial competition for Campbell River Gymnasts

The Campbell River Gymnastics Association (CRGA) competed in their second virtual competition on February 28th participating in the Carol Lenz Memorial competition hosted by Surrey. The athletes had a great competition combining for over 20 medals and 4 athletes finishing in the top 3 All Around. “It has been fun to see the athletes cheering each other on in our gym as they perform their routines to be judged later by our BC judges!” Head coach Todd Sader exclaimed. “ Looking forwards to the Twisters virtual competition and then the Provincial Championships to follow!” Congrats to all the gymnasts!

JO10

Brooklyn Batch won the Silver medals on bars, beam and floor, captured the Bronze medal on vault to come home with the Silver medal in the All Around.

JO9

Hannah Herschler captured 6^th place on vault, placed 7^th on bars, finished 9^th on floor and 10^th on beam to come home in 8^th place in the All Around.

JO7

Ava Herschler won the Bronze medal on bars, captured 7^th place on vault, finished 9^th on beam and 14^th on floor to come home in 9^th place in the All Around.
Isabella Michael won the 8^th place ribbon on vault, placed 11^th on floor, finished 12^th on bars and 13^th on beam to come home in 12^th place in the All Around.

JO6

Kaylie Lofstrom won the Silver medals on vault and beam, captured the Bronze medal on bars, placed 4^th on floor to come home with the Bronze medal in the All Around.
Juliane Hold captured 5^th place on vault, won the 6^th place ribbon on bars, finished 7^th on beam and 9^th on floor to come home in 8^th place in the All Around.

JO4

Sophie Pallan won the Bronze medal on bars, placed 7^th on vault, beam and floor to come home in 4^th place in the All Around.

Avery McColl captured the Silver medal on beam, won the 6^th place ribbon on vault, finished 7^th on bars and 8^th on floor to come home in 7^th place in the All Around.

JO2 2010-2012

Alyse Aydon captured 9^th place on beam, took 13^th place on both vault and bars, finished 14^th on floor to come home in 12^th place in the All Around.
Ali Maga won the 8^th place ribbon on bars, placed 11^th on vault, finished 14^th on beam and 16^th on floor to come home in 14^th place in the All Around.
Hannah Sumner placed 15^th on both vault and floor, finished 16^th on both bars and beam to come home in 16^th place in the All Around.

JO2 2013-2014

Callie Bukta captured 10^th place on vault, placed 12^th on both bars and floor, finished 16^th on beam to come home in 14^th place in the All Around.

Men Provincial 5

Jack Martin won the Gold medals on pommel horse and vault, won the Silver medals on rings and high bars, finished 4^th on floor and 6^th on parallel bars to come home with the Bronze medal in the All Around.

Men’s Provincial 4

Owen Harbo captured the Silver medal on floor, won the 4^th place ribbon on vault, placed 5^th on parallel bars, placed 8^th on rings, finished 13^th on pommel horse and 16^th on high bar to come home in 14^th place in the All Around.

Men’s Provincial 3

River Wangler won the Gold medals on floor, rings and vault, captured the Silver medals on pommel horse, parallel bars and high bar to come home with the Silver medal in the All Around.

Men’s Provincial 1

Everest Johnson received a Silver status on floor and vault, captured a Bronze status on pommel horse, rings, parallel bars and high bar to come home with a Bronze status in the All Around.

CR gymnasts have strong showing at the virtual Provincial Championships

The Campbell River Gymnastics Association (CRGA) competed in the virtual gymnastics Provincial Championships on March28th and had some amazing results. The athletes had a strong performance including six new athletes coming home with a medal for the first time at the Provincial Championship, with a combined 15 medals and many top 10 finishes! Kaylie Lofstrom had a great competition finishing with 4 medals including a Silver medal in the All Around. Shea Bridgen had a great day finishing with a Silver medal on floor and the Bronze medal in the All Around. River Wangler rounded out the podium finishers capturing a Bronze in the All Around. Brooklyn Batch captured the Bronze medal on floor, won the 7^th place ribbon on vault, finished 8^th on bars and 11^th on beam to come home in 9^th place in the All Around.

Ksenia Stansell captured the 4^th place ribbons on both beam and floor, took the 7^th place ribbon on vault, finished 10^th on bars to come home in 6^th place in the All Around.
Tyza Skuse won the 4^th place ribbon on vault, took 12^th place on floor, finished 13^th on bars and 14^th on beam to come home in 13^th place in the All Around.
Hannah Herschler won the 8^th place ribbon on beam, 9^th place on bars, finished 12^th on vault to come home in 14^th place in the All Around.

JO7 2003-2005

Shea Bridgen won the Silver medal on floor, won the Bronze medal on bars, finished 8^th on vault and 9^th on beam to come home with the Bronze medal in the All Around.
Isabella Michael captured the 6^th place ribbon on vault, won the 7^th place ribbon on bars, finished 10^th on floor and 16^th on beam to come home in 12^th place in the All Around.

JO7 2006

Ava Lee placed 10^th on bars, took 11^th on vault, finished 13^th on floor and 16^th on beam to come home in 13^th place in the All Around.

JO7 2008

Rayne Loock captured the Silver medal on floor, won the 5^th place ribbon on bars, finished 9^th on both vault and beam to come home in 5^th place in the All Around.
Ava Herschler became Provincial Champion on bars, won the 8^th place ribbon on vault, finished 10^th on beam and 12^th on floor to come home in 7^th place in the All Around.

JO6 2003-2005

Shyanne Johnson became Provincial champion on bars, took the 8^th place ribbon on vault, finished 10^th on both beam and floor to come home in 10^th place in the All Around.

JO6 2006

Alyssa Wood captured the Bronze medal on bars, won the 5^th place ribbon on floor, finished 8^th on both vault and beam to come home in 4^th place in the All Around.

JO6 2008a

Anna Wheatley won the 7^th place ribbons on beam and floor, took 13^th place on vault, finished 17^th on bars to come home in 10^th place in the All Around.

Anna Harris captured 10^th place on both beam and floor, took 11^th on vault, finished 12^th on bars to come home in 11^th place in the All Around.
Rihanna Dill won the 7^th place ribbon on beam, captured 9^th on floor, finished 13^th on vault and 14^th on bars to come home in 12^th place in the All Around.

JO6 2010b

Kaylie Lofstrom captured the Silver medal on vault, won the Bronze medals on both bars and beam, finished 11^th on floor to come home with the Silver medal in the All Around.

Carson Ogg won the 7^th place ribbons on both vault and high bar, captured the 8^th place ribbons on floor and parallel bars, finished 9^th on pommel and rings to come home in 8^th place in the All Around.
