CR Gymnasts Compete at the JO Compulsory Provincials 2021

The Campbell River Gymnastics Association participated in the virtual JO Compulsory Provincial Championships hosted by Langley Gymnastics on April 18th.  The athletes had a great competition, winning many ribbons and medals.  It was great to watch the athletes learning new skills and improving though out the year.  Competition highlights include Chloe Stewart winning a Silver medal on the floor to go along with a Bronze on the beam and in the All Around.  Persia Tabarsi captured the Bronze medal on the beam and Alyse Aydon won a Bronze medal on the vault.  Below are the full results!

JO4 2006-2008

Ryley Gordon captured the 8th place ribbon on bars, won the 10th place ribbon on vault, finished 11th on floor and 13th on beam to come home in 10th place in the All Around.
Persia Tabarsi captured the Bronze medal on beam, won the 9th place ribbon on vault, placed 12th on floor and 13th on bars to come home in 12th place in the All Around.

JO4 2009

Hannah Thomas won the 9th place ribbon on vault, took 13th on beam, finished 16th on floor and 18th on bars to come home in 12th place in the All Around.
Miwako McGuffie-Ogasawara tied for the 9th place ribbon on vault, placed 14th on both beam and floor, finished 19th on bars to come home in 16th place in the All Around.

JO4 2010

Chloe Stewart captured the Silver medal on floor, won the Bronze medal on beam, finished 7th on both vault and bars to come home with the Bronze medal in the All Around.
Grace Fraser won the 4th place ribbon on bars, captured 6th place on floor, finished 9th on both vault and beam to come home in 5th place in the All Around.
Jaycee LaFrance captured the 5th place ribbon on floor, won the 6th place ribbon on vault, finished 11th on bars and 17th on beam to come home in 8th place in the All Around.
Sophie Pallan won the 8th place ribbons on both vault and floor, finished 12th on beam and 14th on bars to come home in 9th place in the All Around.
Olivia Fawbert captured the 6th place ribbon on beam, placed 15th on bars, finished 20th on both vault and floor to come home in 17th place in the All Around.

JO4 2011

Haylee Toohey won the 6th place ribbon on vault, captured the 10th place ribbon on floor, finished 12th on bars and 17th on beam to come home in 11th place in the All Around.

JO4 2012-13

Lacey Palmer placed 18th on beam, finished 20th on vault, bars and beam to come home in 20th place in the All Around.

JO3 2010

Paityn Giesbrecht won the 8th place ribbon on bars, took 11th place on floor, finished 18th on vault and 20th on beam to come home in 16th place in the All Around.
Avery McColl captured the 7th place ribbon on vault, won the 9th place ribbon on beam, finished 17th on bars and 19th on floor to come home in 18th place in the All Around.

JO3 2012.5

Ru-Chan McGuffie-Ogasawara won the 4th place ribbon on vault, placed 12th on floor, finished 14th on beam and 15th on bars to come home in 14th place in the All Around.

JO2 2012

Ali Maga won the 5th place ribbon on vault, captured the 6th place ribbon on bars, finished 11th on beam and 12th on floor to come home in 6th place in the All Around.
Alyse Aydon captured the Bronze medal on vault, won the 8th place ribbon on bars, finished 18th on floor and 23rd on beam to come home in 11th place in the All Around.
Hannah Sumner won the 10th place ribbon on vault, took 11th place on beam, finished 21st on floor and 23rd on bars to come home in 20th place in the All Around.
Nahla Birchard placed 17th on bars, took 21st place on beam, finished 22nd on floor and vault to come home in 21st place in the All Around.

JO2 2013

Callie Bukta won the 7th place ribbon on vault, placed 11th on beam, finished 15th on floor and 18th on bars to come home in 17th place in the All Around.

JO2 2014

Linnea Jones captured the 5th place ribbon on floor, won the 6th place ribbon on bars, finished 7th on vault and 10th on beam to come home in 8th place in the All Around.
Drew Thomson won the 5th place ribbon on vault, captured the 7th place ribbon on bars, finished 11th on beam and 12th on floor to come home in 11th place in the All Around.

Strong Showing at the Carol Lenz Memorial competition for Campbell River Gymnasts

The Campbell River Gymnastics Association (CRGA) competed in their second virtual competition on February 28th participating in the Carol Lenz Memorial competition hosted by Surrey.  The athletes had a great competition combining for over 20 medals and 4 athletes finishing in the top 3 All Around. “It has been fun to see the athletes cheering each other on in our gym as they perform their routines to be judged later by our BC judges!” Head coach Todd Sader exclaimed. “ Looking forwards to the Twisters virtual competition and then the Provincial Championships to follow!” Congrats to all the gymnasts!

JO10

Brooklyn Batch won the Silver medals on bars, beam and floor, captured the Bronze medal on vault to come home with the Silver medal in the All Around.

JO9

Hannah Herschler captured 6th place on vault, placed 7th on bars, finished 9th on floor and 10th on beam to come home in 8th place in the All Around.

JO7

Ava Herschler won the Bronze medal on bars, captured 7th place on vault, finished 9th on beam and 14th on floor to come home in 9th place in the All Around.
Isabella Michael won the 8th place ribbon on vault, placed 11th on floor, finished 12th on bars and 13th on beam to come home in 12th place in the All Around.

JO6

Kaylie Lofstrom won the Silver medals on vault and beam, captured the Bronze medal on bars, placed 4th on floor to come home with the Bronze medal in the All Around.
Juliane Hold captured 5th place on vault, won the 6th place ribbon on bars, finished 7th on beam and 9th on floor to come home in 8th place in the All Around.

JO4

Sophie Pallan won the Bronze medal on bars, placed 7th on vault, beam and floor to come home in 4th place in the All Around.

JO2 2010-2012

JO2 2013-2014

Callie Bukta captured 10th place on vault, placed 12th on both bars and floor, finished 16th on beam to come home in 14th place in the All Around.

Men Provincial 5

Jack Martin won the Gold medals on pommel horse and vault, won the Silver medals on rings and high bars, finished 4th on floor and 6th on parallel bars to come home with the Bronze medal in the All Around.

Men’s Provincial 4

Owen Harbo captured the Silver medal on floor, won the 4th place ribbon on vault, placed 5th on parallel bars, placed 8th on rings, finished 13th on pommel horse and 16th on high bar to come home in 14th place in the All Around.

Men’s Provincial 3

River Wangler won the Gold medals on floor, rings and vault, captured the Silver medals on pommel horse, parallel bars and high bar to come home with the Silver medal in the All Around.

Men’s Provincial 1

Everest Johnson received a Silver status on floor and vault, captured a Bronze status on pommel horse, rings, parallel bars and high bar to come home with a Bronze status in the All Around.

CR gymnasts have strong showing at the virtual Provincial Championships

The Campbell River Gymnastics Association (CRGA) competed in the virtual gymnastics Provincial Championships on March28th and had some amazing results. The athletes had a strong performance including six new athletes coming home with a medal for the first time at the Provincial Championship, with a combined 15 medals and many top 10 finishes! Kaylie Lofstrom had a great competition finishing with 4 medals including a Silver medal in the All Around.  Shea Bridgen had a great day finishing with a Silver medal on floor and the Bronze medal in the All Around.  River Wangler rounded out the podium finishers capturing a Bronze in the All Around.  Below are the full results.

Ksenia Stansell captured the 4th place ribbons on both beam and floor, took the 7th place ribbon on vault, finished 10th on bars to come home in 6th place in the All Around.
Tyza Skuse won the 4th place ribbon on vault, took 12th place on floor, finished 13th on bars and 14th on beam to come home in 13th place in the All Around.
Hannah Herschler won the 8th place ribbon on beam, 9th place on bars, finished 12th on vault to come home in 14th place in the All Around.

Shea Bridgen won the Silver medal on floor, won the Bronze medal on bars, finished 8th on vault and 9th on beam to come home with the Bronze medal in the All Around.
Isabella Michael captured the 6th place ribbon on vault, won the 7th place ribbon on bars, finished 10th on floor and 16th on beam to come home in 12th place in the All Around.

JO7 2006

Ava Lee placed 10th on bars, took 11th on vault, finished 13th on floor and 16th on beam to come home in 13th place in the All Around.

JO7 2008

Rayne Loock captured the Silver medal on floor, won the 5th place ribbon on bars, finished 9th on both vault and beam to come home in 5th place in the All Around.
Ava Herschler became Provincial Champion on bars, won the 8th place ribbon on vault, finished 10th on beam and 12th on floor to come home in 7th place in the All Around.

JO6 2003-2005

Shyanne Johnson became Provincial champion on bars, took the 8th place ribbon on vault, finished 10th on both beam and floor to come home in 10th place in the All Around.

JO6 2006

Alyssa Wood captured the Bronze medal on bars, won the 5th place ribbon on floor, finished 8th on both vault and beam to come home in 4th place in the All Around.

JO6 2008a

Miley Konrad won the Bronze medal on floor, captured the 8th place ribbon on bars, finished 11th on vault and 14th on beam to come home in 9th place in the All Around.
Anna Wheatley won the 7th place ribbons on beam and floor, took 13th place on vault, finished 17th on bars to come home in 10th place in the All Around.

Anna Harris captured 10th place on both beam and floor, took 11th on vault, finished 12th on bars to come home in 11th place in the All Around.
Rihanna Dill won the 7th place ribbon on beam, captured 9th on floor, finished 13th on vault and 14th on bars to come home in 12th place in the All Around.

JO6 2010b

Kaylie Lofstrom captured the Silver medal on vault, won the Bronze medals on both bars and beam, finished 11th on floor to come home with the Silver medal in the All Around.

Carson Ogg won the 7th place ribbons on both vault and high bar, captured the 8th place ribbons on floor and parallel bars, finished 9th on pommel and rings to come home in 8th place in the All Around.
